<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film, which has a lusterless surface at least on one side, a low haze and high transparency, and is excellent in manufacturing/handling/processing characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester film, comprising at least one base layer B and at least one lusterless exterior layer A, is characterized in that (1) a lateral shrinkage rate S<SB>T</SB>of the polyester film is 1-2.3%, that (2) a lateral stria elongation of the polyester film is 0.2% or less by thermomechanical analysis, that (3) the lusterless exterior layer A contains particles a median particle size d<SB>50</SB>of which is 2-10μm and a particle size distribution of which as defined in SPAN98 method is 2 or less, and that (4) the lusterless exterior layer A is composed of a polyester containing 4-30 mol% per total acid component of isophthalic acid component. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
