<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relief valve mechanism of an oil pump embodied in a compact structure and at low cost and capable of adjusting the oil pressure of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The relief valve mechanism 30 of the oil pump 10 is equipped with a body 31 having an inner hole 32 and a relief valve 40 which is fitted in the hole 32 slidably, energized at all times by a spring 41 toward that end of the body 31 of closing a relief hole 34 provided in it in such a way as opening at the inside surface of the hole 32, and slides against the energizing force of the spring 41 in compliance with the pressure of a working oil discharged from the oil pump 10 acting on that end for adjusting the pressure of the working oil to the specified value by opening and closing the relief hole 34. A thermo-sensitive means 50 elongating and contracting in the axial direction is installed on that side of the spring 41 with the relief valve 40 or on the opposite side thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
