<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of suppressing the supply of cool water or hot water to a mixed hot water route when hot water is re-supplied after the supply of hot water is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: A control device 200 controls a mixing ratio by a mixing valve 16 according to a hot water supply set temperature when a flow counter 72 detects the supply of hot water flowing in a pipe 17, and controls the mixing valve 16 so as to hold in a state where hot water supply is stopped when the flow counter 72 detects the stoppage of supply of hot water flowing in the pipe 17. The mixing valve 16 is disposed at a merged point between a lead-out pipe 14 and a water supply pipe 15 so that hot water flowing from the lead-out pipe 14 to the water supply pipe 15 does not flow into the pipe 17 when hot water is re-supplied.
