PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart sufficient strengths and chemical resistance to a desiccator made of an acrylic plate or a vinyl chloride plate by applying a special coating to the surface of the desiccator. SOLUTION: In the desiccator, a silica film is formed by applying an organic solvent solution of polysilazane on the whole part of an inner wall face or on a window part formed of the acrylic plate or vinyl chloride plate.
