PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method of a terminal adapter for network connection in which setting time of the terminal adapter is shortened by setting the terminal adapter automatically at the time of network connection and artificial mistake can be eliminated. SOLUTION: Network connection of the terminal adapter is set by executing a program recorded on a recording medium and the IP address of the terminal adapter is acquired from a DHCP server. A profile server managing user and terminal adapter information is accessed automatically and information required for setting the terminal adapter is downloaded to a user terminal after the profile server is authenticated. The user terminal writes the information obtained from the profile server directly into the terminal adapter and sets the terminal adapter.
