PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted type monitoring device having a high crime-preventing effect by which a user can easily confirm a person following and approaching to the user even under dark environment such as at night. SOLUTION: The head-mounted type monitoring device equipped with a rear arm 10 and a front arm 20 mounted on the user M's head is provided with an infrared camera 60 for monitoring the back of the user M on the rear arm 10. When detecting the person approaching to the user M from the back by the camera 60, the picture of the person coming after the user is displayed on a video display part 30 provided on the front arm 20.
