PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device capable of increasing comfortableness and safety. SOLUTION: This heating device comprises a human body sensor 31 detecting the presence or absence of a person and a distance sensor 32 measuring the distance thereof from an equipment body 1, and is formed to control heating amount at a human body detection position (where the person is present) by detection signals from the human body sensor 31 and the distance sensor 32. When the person moves too closely to the hot air blow-out opening 2 of the equipment body 1, the heating amount is lowered or the heating device is stopped. When the person is present at a position apart from the equipment body 1, the heating device is operated at a heating amount matching that situation. To control the heating amount, the heating capacity of the heating part of the equipment body or the direction of a movable louver at the hot air blow-out opening is changed.
