PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of an arch culvert and its construction method, in which the installation of a timbering, forms and a reinforcement and concrete placing are not required in the case of the execution of work of the arch section of the arch culvert. SOLUTION: The bottom slab 21 of the lower half section of the arch culvert and side walls 22 are constructed, and the upper half arch section of precast concrete 1 is built to connecting sections 3 with the side walls 22. The connecting sections 3 of the upper half arch section are formed previously in a structure, of which the outsides are notched, so that contact surfaces 31 with lower half sections of the connecting sections 3 of the upper half arch section are attached to each other through surfaces by top faces of the side walls 22 of the lower half section and parts on the tunnel-cavity side. In the structure of the arch culvert and the construction method, the upper half arch section is built, and the notched sections 32 filled with filling concrete 4 from the outside of the arch culvert and the half-precast type arch culvert is unified.
