PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily producing micro metallic balls having high sphericity and uniform particle diameters. SOLUTION: In the method of producing micro metallic balls, a wire material having a diameterϕis cut so as to be prescribed intervals to obtain metallic pieces in which the length L after the cutting is≤2 mm, and the ratio betweenϕand L satisfies 0.1≤L/ϕ≤3.0, and next, the metallic pieces are introduced into plasma flame and spheroidized.
