PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of abnormal sound when driving by releasing an engaging condition of a gear and a tooth part capable of meshing with the gear securely. SOLUTION: This feeding device is provided with a trigger lever 51 for switching a clutch member from a gear engaging condition into a gear non-engaging condition by swinging the clutch member 43 and a trigger lever controller controlling in such a way that the trigger lever is switched into a clutch non-engaging condition and a clutch engaging condition. The trigger lever 51 is provided with a lever engaging end 53 engageable with a clutch engaging part in a clutch engaging condition. The trigger lever controller controls in such a manner that a lever engaging end is moved to a position where it can engage with a clutch engaging part 43d for engagement and the lever engaging end 53 is moved in the direction opposing to the direction of turn of the clutch member when a tooth part 43a of the clutch member is removed from a ratchet gear 41.
