PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a theftproof case where a housing case housing optical or magnetic recording media can not be easily taken out of a case body. SOLUTION: The case is provided with the case body capable of putting in and out the housing case housing the optical recording media such as CD or the like and a lock mechanism 3, which prevents the housing case from being drawn from the case body through an opening at the case body, the lock mechanism 3 comprises a receiving section 4 provided with the engaged sections 6A, 6B and a slider 5 provided with engagement sections 7A, 7B, which move from the other end side to one end side of a housing section 4 and engage with the engaged sections 6A, 6B, and the case is provided with an operation tool 14, which releases the engaged condition to actuate the engagement sections to disengage with the engaged sections by allowing the operating tool to be inserted through the opening formed on the rear end side in the forwarding direction of the slider 5, with the engaged sections 6A, 6B engaged with the engagement sections 7A, 7B.
