There is provided a recording/reproduction device capable of performing after-recording edition onto a disc which has been judged to be unable to perform after-recording edition by the conventional method, by devising the access method of one cycle in the repeated process of after-recording edition as well as reproducing the data which has been edited after recording. The recording/reproduction device includes a pickup for recording or reproducing information and a control section for controlling operation of the pickup. When reproducing an information recording medium having an additional sequence formed by continuous recording of data blocks including after-recording audio data in a region different from the region of a main sequence where data blocks including original audio data and video data are continuously recorded, the control section controls operation of the pickup by making the pickup alternately access the main sequence and the additional sequence, so that a plurality of data blocks are reproduced at once upon each access.
