Hammock sleeping bag (1) comprises an upper (2) and a lower part (3), and fixing elements, especially in the form of ropes (4, 5), cords, belts, material sections or other tear-resistant material, on the head (18) and foot end (20) for fixing to two fixing points arranged a distance apart. The lower part is shaped and/or the length or the shape of the fixing elements is dimensioned so that in the suspended state the lower part has a downward-curving contour perpendicular to its longitudinal direction and the position of the center of gravity of the user in the region of the vertical connecting plane between the two fixing points is lower than in the region of the longitudinal edges of the lower part.
