The invention provides for a method of controlling video telephony communications between communication terminals so as to allow for switching between a video telephony service and a voice-only service, wherein the said step of switching is initiated by monitoring the quality of video output at the at least one of the terminals so as to determine a deterioration in the quality of said video output, and in which the service can return to video telephony when appropriate. |
