The used solvent (d), together with its carried impurities, is passed through a sterile filtration (4,5), and the sediment (c) of cleaned particle matter is combined with the sterile filtrate (e) and then separated into solvent and sterile pharmaceutical material (f). The washing stage moves the particles against gravity or against a centrifugal action.
