PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update and record a corrected font so as to make it be effective only to a specific user by comparing the characters forming the latest version of a font with the characters forming the corrected font to be registered and then updating and registering the font if an updated character is detected. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 designates a specific user who validates a font and compares the characters forming the latest version of the font with the characters forming a corrected font to be registered to decide whether even a single character is updated. If a character is updated, the font is updated and registered. An external storage 9 stores a font history management table which manages the history of every font, a character history management table which manages the character addition information, a specific user character management table which manages the character information that is corrected for the specific user and a font data management program. Thus, a font is updated and registered if an updated character is detected. |
