PURPOSE: An article of furniture is provided to maximize the functionality of furniture by virtue of highly advanced high-tech digital facilities suitable for the prevention of burglary. CONSTITUTION: In the article of furniture(1), for detecting the invasion of a burglar, and informing it to the police or a cellular phone of an owner, it comprises a computer unit(23), a CCTV receive/send device(15), CCTV cameras(15"), an electronic sensor(2), infrared sensor(3), and other high-tech digital facilities. In addition to the above functions, the article of furniture is adapted to enable capture of the burglar through the use of an anesthetic gun, a net launcher, and other related equipment mounted to the furniture.
