<p>Movement of the mold (3) pushed by the piston (9) is independent of the movement of the mould once it has been lined up, since movement of the lined up moulds is carried out exclusively by the conveyor (7). A vertical box less molding machine contains a mould chamber (1) which is supplied with sand from a hopper (4) and sealed using a sliding pivotal front plate (5) and a rear plate (8) mounted on the end of an extractor piston, the latter being used to compact the sand. The resulting moulds are lined up one after the other with the aid of the piston, which pushes them onto a conveyor for transferring them to the front of a casting station. Movement of the mould pushed by the piston is independent of the movement of the mould once it has been lined up, since movement of the lined up moulds is carried out exclusively by the conveyor.</p> |
