Device for drying sugar cubes containing a heating apparatus for heating and dehumidifying the sugar cubes, a conditioning apparatus for cooling off and possibly further dehumidifying the sugar cubes and a conveying apparatus for conveying the sugar cubes through the heating apparatus and the conditioning apparatus, in which the heating apparatus comprises a multimode microwave cavity and a number of microwave heads which are connected to the microwave cavity by their own wave-guide.
