<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an active matrix liquid crystal display device whose power consumption is small, whose display is sharp and which has high display quality. <P>SOLUTION: In this active matrix liquid crystal display device, a CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) transmission gate is used in the switching element of a pixel and the timing of pulse signals to be inputted to the gate terminals of the CMOS transmission gate are made to coincide with each other by providing a CMOS inverter or exclusive scanning line-side driving circuits for a PMOS (P-channel metal oxide semiconductor) and an NMOS (N-channel metal oxide semiconductor). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
