[Class 138 (ii)] A heating chest 6 for a laundry ironing and pressing machine has tubes 7 . . . 11 secured to its outer surface and to each other so as to define passages 12 ... 15 adjacent the surface, through which a heating medium can flow. The tubes are arranged parallel to each other and may be connected to the passages by holes 16 so that they also may be used for heating. The tubes may be spaced from each other or the surface of the chest, or both, by welded plates and may be of the same or different diameters. Sections other than circular may be used. The exposed face of the tubes may be lagged. The tubes may be arranged at right angles to the axis of the chest. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 states that this construction may be used for heating or cooling walls for other purposes. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
