POWER CONTROL APPARATUS AND POWER CONTROL METHOD USING INPUT/OUTPUT CURRENT CONTROL

PURPOSE: A power control apparatus and a power control method are provided to reduce an energy consumption and achieve improved stability of voltage. CONSTITUTION: A power control apparatus comprises an input current voltage detection unit(10) for detecting changes of input current and voltage and transmitting the detected current and voltage to a control unit(40); a phase power control transformer(20) having a sliding member for controlling power, and which distributes loads and induces increase of total capacity; a driving motor(30) which operates in accordance with the control signal of the control unit, and moves the sliding member of the phase power control transformer so as to control output voltages; an output current voltage detection unit(50) for detecting changes of output current and voltage in accordance with the use of facility, and transmitting the detected current and voltage to the control unit; and the control unit for controlling output voltages of the phase power control transformer by receiving input and output current and voltage signals from the input current voltage detection unit and the output current voltage detection unit and outputting a control signal to the driving motor.
