PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load applied on a distribution side and a reception side of musical information in the distribution of the musical information. SOLUTION: The information related to the reproduction of the musical information in a portable telephone set MS (e.g. the information for specifying the specifications of a sound source incorporated in the portable telephone set MS) is stored beforehand in a gateway server GWS between an IP server W distributing the musical information and the portable telephone set MS receiving/reproducing the musical information. The gateway server GWS processes the musical information based on the information related to the reproduction of the musical information at the time of relaying the musical information transmitted from the IP server W toward the portable telephone set MS and relays the musical information by transmitting the processed musical information to the portable telephone set MS. |
