Wood fiber board structure for use in furniture or fitments and its manufacture. The wood fiber board structure forms e.g. a shelf board in safekeeping containers, cupboards, bookshelves or the like or a table board, one surface (loading surface) of which is subjected to a load, and consists of a wood fiber board (21), a coating (24, 27) and a plastic sheet (22) attached to the surface of the wood fiber board (21), wherein the plastic sheet (22) is attached to the surface of the wood fiber board (21) opposite to the loading surface to reduce the bending flexure of the wood fiber board structure, said plastic sheet (22) being fiber-reinforced and said fibers being oriented in the longitudinal direction of the board structure and/or partly at an angle of typically 30-60° relative to the longitudinal direction to receive tensile loads. |
