The invention relates to a gas spring (2) comprising: (i) a chamber (1) containing a pressurised gas, and (ii) a pressure detector (3) which is mounted in a housing (7) that is provided in one wall of the chamber (1), said housing (7) being communicated (12) with the chamber, such that the pressure in the chamber (1) constantly acts on the detector (3). According to the invention, when the pressure of the gas in the chamber (1) falls below a predetermined value, the detector (3) closes an external warning or indicator electric circuit (4), in order for the necessary measurements to be taken before the spring (2) undergoes a greater pressure drop which would necessitate the stopping of the machine comprising same. |
