摘要 PURPOSE: An electro-optical device and an electronic device are provided to prevent the breakage of a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) by preventing that a crack is generated in an interlayer insulation film between the TFT and a light shielding film. CONSTITUTION: A data line is extended in a uniform direction. A scan line is extended in a direction crossed with the data line. The first TFT receives a scan signal through the scan line. A pixel electrode receives an image signal from the data line through the first TFT. A substrate has an image display region defined as a forming region of the pixel electrode and the first TFT, and has a peripheral region defining the circumference of the image display region. The second TFT(200) is formed in the peripheral region to determine whether the image signal is supplied to the data line. A light shielding film(11aP) formed through the second TFT and an interlayer insulation film is formed in the peripheral region. The light shielding film is overlapped with at least a part of the second TFT.
