The method involves providing a cap (10) with a louver to form a lining of a foam body. The louver is closed by placing a closing unit in a linkage unit and is opened under the effect of pressure exerted by deployment of an inflatable cushion (4). The cap is placed in a mould having a vessel and a cover to define a cavity when the mould is closed. A foam body is mounted on a plate by placing the cushion in a rubber box. An independent claim is also included for a seat of a motor vehicle.
