Hydrogen peroxide sensor, at least provided with a sensor material of the solid electrolyte type, in the crystal lattice of which there is a chemical equilibrium between the concentrations of oxygen vacancies and free, negative oxygen ions on the one hand and the concentration of oxygen bound in the crystal lattice on the other, wherein the concentration of oxygen vacancies in the sensor material can be modulated and means are provided for modulating this concentration of oxygen vacancies in the sensor material.
