The method involves communicating optimal passage parameters to a vehicle (1) at a distance through beacon lights (3,4) fixed on the ground. The parameters determined using static travel data and dynamic data are established simultaneously according to circumstances. Handling instruction is elaborated based on the parameters and vehicle handling data is calculated. Vehicle equipment such as a the vehicles ABS system is controlled based on the handling data, when the vehicle enters an accident zone.
