PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid dynamic pressure bearing having an oil-repellent shaft recessed part having a shape to easy to remove the oil from the recessed part. SOLUTION: This fluid dynamic pressure bearing assembly includes the shaft and a bearing sleeve. A bearing gap is formed between the shaft and the bearing sleeve, and filled with a lubricating fluid. A capillary seal is formed on one end of the bearing sleeve, and the recessed part is formed on the shaft just above the capillary seal.
