PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal in which an opposite side portable terminal can be set during a voice call. SOLUTION: An operating side portable telephone set 50 starts a voice call with a setting side mobile telephone set 60. When an operating side user operates an input key to perform setting to the setting side mobile telephone set 60 during the call, a CPU 511 creates a command and temporarily records the command in a RAM 509 after adding sorting class information thereto. The operating side user confirms a function corresponding to the command on a display part 504 and judges whether or not the command is to be transmitted to the setting side portable telephone set 60. When the operating side user selects "YES", the CPU 511 performs packet transmission of the command to the setting side portable telephone set 60. A CPU 611 confirms setting of the received command and changes setting of the setting side mobile telephone set 60 as setting. When setting is finished, a notice of setting end is transmitted from the setting side portable telephone set 60 to the operating side portable telephone set 50 by a packet.
