PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the transfer of a recorded message low in importance or a recorded message low in immediate response and need by setting transfer at a receiver side, and to conduct the transfer of a message by a simple input operation of an originator side. SOLUTION: A telephone device includes a recording function for recording a message from a telephone device 41-4N of an originator side. The telephone device comprises a plurality of message recording areas 71-7N for receiving and storing messages from the telephone device of the originator side, a plurality of transfer presence or absence information recording areas 81-8N for receiving transfer presence or absence information from the telephone device of the originator side by dial signals and storing the information corresponding to the stored message, and a transfer presence or absence information collating unit 61 for registering a condition for the information to be transmitted and a condition for the information not to be transmitted, and collating the information stored in the transfer presence or absence information recording areas with the condition for the information to be transmitted and the condition for the information not to be transmitted, and permitting the transfer of a message corresponding to the information matched with the condition for the information to be transmitted.
