PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line carrier system capable of superimposing a signal having a sufficient size, even if an apparatus whose impedance becomes smaller is connected to the power line of a power supply source side with respect to a PLC signal transmitter, and to provide the PLC signal transmitter. SOLUTION: This power line carrier system is provided with a transformer 3a which is connected to a power line 2 for supplying power, and functions as a capacitor in a high-frequency region; a PLC signal transmitter 4 which is connected to the power line 2 of a power supply destination with respect to the transformer 3a, and transmits a signal to be superimposed on the power line 2; and an impedance element 7a which is connected to the power line 2 between the transformer 3a and the PLC signal transmitter 4.
