PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microwave oven capable of easily bonding a membrane plate to a surface sheet, and maintaining beautiful appearance of an operation panel by smoothly discharging air at a portion with the membrane plate of the operation panel to be bonded thereto outside. SOLUTION: The microwave oven comprises a cooking chamber to store food, a heating unit to cook the food, and an operation panel 20 to control the operation of the microwave oven. The operation panel 20 includes a panel case 21, a membrane plate 22 fitted to a front side of the panel case 21, a membrane plate bonding portion 27 formed at a predetermined portion of the front side of the panel case 21 to bond the membrane plate 22, and an air discharge groove 31 provided on the membrane plate bonding portion 27 to discharge air present between the membrane plate bonding part 27 and the membrane plate 22.
