摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt tension adjusting mechanism allowing smooth rotating motion of an operating member during normal driving operation while holding it in position against outer force. SOLUTION: The belt tension adjusting mechanism comprises a driving side pulley 2 to be rotated receiving the driving force of a driving source, a driven side pulley 3 to be rotated following the rotation of the driving side pulley 2, a circular belt 4 linking the driving side pulley 2 to the driven side pulley 3, the operating member 9 turnable with the driven side pulley 3 as an axis of rotation, and an arm member 5 turnable around a supporting point 5a and having a first contact member 6 for giving tension to the circular belt 4 at its outside apart from the supporting point 5a, a second contact member 7 for giving tension to the circular belt 4 at its outside farther from the supporting point 5a than the first contact member 6 and an elastic body 8 for energizing them in the direction of maintaining the tension.
