PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving assist device for a vehicle allowing the continuation of intersection possibility decision with other mobile bodies each having a high degree of risk even in the case that direct communication with the other mobile bodies each having the high degree of risk of collision with one's own vehicle is cut off, when deciding intersection possibility with the other mobile bodies by use of inter-mobile body communication. SOLUTION: When the direct communication between the own vehicle and the other mobile body wherein the degree of risk of the collision with the own vehicle decided on the basis of the intersection probability is a first prescribed level or above is cut off, or when the other mobile body wherein the degree of risk of the collision with the own vehicle decided on the basis of the intersection probability is a second prescribed level (larger than the first prescribed level) or above is present, the driving assist device for the vehicle deciding the intersection probability with the other mobile bodies by use of the inter-mobile body communication executes an assistant mobile body information acquisition process of the other mobile bodies of the prescribed levels or above.
