PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to easily grasp the condition of a power source, and to easily discriminate the position of the power switch. SOLUTION: When a notebook-sized PC is put into a start status, and an LED is lighted in blue, a stand-by command for switching the notebook PC to a suspend status or a shut-down command for switching the notebook PC to a shut-down status is inputted by a keyboard according to the menu picture of an OS displayed by an LCD. When the stand-by command is inputted, an EC (embedded controller) rewrites the information for control of a register into information showing the suspend status through a BIOS.
