PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ashtray device capable opening and closing an ashtray at appropriate timing while lowering a load on occupants. SOLUTION: A heat source detection part 14 such as a temperature radiation meter detecting the presence or absence of a heat source in a cabin is installed in the cabin. Based on detection signals from the heat source detection part 14, when the presence of the heat source by the fire of a cigarette is detected, the ashtray 10 is opened by the driving of the ashtray opening and closing mechanism 12. When the absence of the heat source is detected by the extinguishment of the cigarette, the ashtray 10 is closed by the driving of the ashtray opening and closing mechanism 12.
