The invention relates to a lock for locking a bicycle. A section of the bicycle lock comprises ceramic reinforcement elements within a metal/ceramic bond. Said reinforcement elements can be embedded in a matrix that is formed by a honeycomb structure or a binding agent. Alternatively, a section of the bicycle lock is embodied in a fully ceramic manner.
