The system, having an outlet (6) for a spray of washing liquid, connected by a tube (3) to a pump (2) and reservoir (1), incorporates a pressure reducer between the pump and outlet. The pressure reducer is in the form of a connector (9) with a through passage (4) of smaller diameter than the tube, inserted between sections of the tube. The diameter of the tube is e.g. of the order of 5 mm and that of the pressure reducer passage is between 1 and 1.5 mm, and preferably 1.2 mm, giving a cross-section ratio of between 0.04 - 0.09 : 1, while the diameter of the spray outlet is of the order of 1.5 mm.
