Transport and delivery system for goods and wares in has a multiplicity of distribution arrangements (3) in locations near to receivers. Each distribution arrangement has a multiplicity of storage units. Goods ordered by a receiver are placed in a reusable transport container (2) with a lockable access (21). The goods are sent to a receiver who is issued a temporary unlocking code. The unlocking code is used to access the goods by the receiver.
