PURPOSE: A transverse motion trolley drive device of an elevator-type three-dimensional parking device is provided to suppress distortion of an elevating lift in loading a vehicle and to achieve smooth elevating of the elevating lift. CONSTITUTION: An elevator-type three-dimensional parking device comprises an elevator route(31) vertically extended; guide rails(33) vertically extended and arranged in the elevating shaft; elevating lifts(34) having guide rollers(41) attached in a state capable of elevating along the guide rails and support arms(40) connected to the guide rollers and comprising a vehicle-receiving member supporting a vehicle by the front ends of the support arms; transverse motion rails(46) and intermediate rails(47) installed between the elevator shaft and parking spaces(38) of each layer formed to the side of the elevator shaft; and transverse motion trolleys(45) arranged to transversely move via vehicle wheels(51) on the transverse motion rails and intermediate rails of each layer. The transverse motion rails and intermediate rails have groove parts(B) extended in a tilted direction to enable each support arm to traverse and pass. Each support arm of each elevating lift elevates via each groove part between the transverse motion rails and the intermediate rails. A transverse motion trolley drive device of the elevator-type three-dimensional parking device has plural driving units arranged to fixing parts of the outside near the transverse motion rails and the intermediate rails, and transfer rollers(55) installed to rotating shafts of the driving units. The transverse motion trolley drive device of the elevator-type three-dimensional parking device rotates the transfer rollers by adhering roller surfaces to a frame of the transverse motion trolley on the transverse motion rails and the intermediate rails by the pressure from the upper side and sends the transverse motion trolley by the friction action along the transverse motion rails and the intermediate rails.
