<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensively manufacturable battery pack for a lithium ion secondary battery, having a high level of safety. <P>SOLUTION: This battery pack is composed of a lithium ion secondary battery and a current interrupting element to protect the secondary battery. The secondary battery is composed of a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator intervening between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, and the current interrupting element is composed of a resetting type element and a non-resetting type element.
