<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an electroluminescent element by photolithography preventing a color mix and a thinning down of pixels. <P>SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the electroluminescent element comprises a process of forming a different color light emitting layer (hereinafter, abbreviated as DCEL) applying a painting liquid for forming the DCEL which emits light with a color different from that of a light emission part, on a substrate on which, at least the light emission part emitting light with single color and a protection layer formed so as not to expose the end part of the light emission part are formed; a process of forming a photoresist layer for the DCEL applying a photoresist on the DCEL; a process of patterning the photoresist layer for the DCEL exposing/developing the photoresist layer for the DCEL; a process of forming a different color light emission part removing the DCEL from which, the photoresist layer for the DCEL is removed; a process of forming a protection layer for the DCEL applying a painting liquid for the DCEL so as to cover the different color light emission part; and a process of patterning the protection layer for the DCEL exposing/developing the different color light emitting layer so as not to expose the different color light emission part and the end part thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
