PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector for a molded article left in a mold which can detect the left molded article certainly and rapidly even in a mold having a large number of parts to be detected. SOLUTION: The detector is composed so as to detect the presence of the molded article left in the mold for molding the molded article in its molding hole part. An inspection head 4 which can approach the mold or can be separated from the mold has a fixed plate 9, a movable plate 8 which faces the fixed plate 9 and can approach the fixed plate 9, and a detection sensor 7 for detecting the positional change of the movable plate 8 in relation to the fixed plate 9. The movable plate 8 has a detection pin 6 which can be brought into contact with the molded article left in the mold on the side of its one surface 8a. The detection pin 6 is brought into contact with the remaining molded article by the approaching action of the detection head 4 to the mold. When the movable plate 8 approaches the fixed plate 9, the detection sensor 7 is operated to detect the presence of the remaining molded article. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
