PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of preventing a mirror part detection signal from becoming a high level even when there is no mirror part after a dropout, and accurately detecting a mirror part if there is. SOLUTION: A limiter 6 is installed after a low-speed peak detector 3. Alternatively, the limiter is installed after both of the low-speed peak detector and a high-speed peak detector or before the detector. At the time of detecting a dropout, the output of the low-speed peak detector or the outputs of both of the low-speed peak detector and the high-speed peak detector are held. In the constitution of the low-speed peak detection of the output of the high-speed peak detector, the limitter is installed after the low-speed peak detection or after the high-speed peak detection or before the high-speed peak detection. At the time of detecting the dropout, the low-speed peak detection or the high-speed peak detection is held, or the time constant of the low-speed peak detection is reduced at the time of detecting the dropout.
