A first double-walled tube (FDWT) (5) of electrically insulating material surrounds a cable core's (1,2) end and is flange-mounted on a cryostatic temperature regulator (3). A second tube (12) of insulating material fits concentrically to the cable core and the FDWT with a clearance from them. A shielding element (8) surrounds the FDWT.
