Limitation in the physical resolution of an image sensor presents an incentive to enhance the resolution of an image. Super resolution has been applied principally to a gray scale image and creation of a high resolution color image from an image sensor having a color filter array has not yet been discussed thoroughly. Object of the invention is to create a high resolution color image directly from color mosaics obtained by means of an image sensor having a color filter array. The method for creating a high resolution color image is based on a novel technological idea of creating a color image where resolution is increased simultaneously with demosaicing. Verification and effective packaging of the invention are also shown.
