<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition that is excellent in color reproducibility, transparency and gloss of the prints, in water resistance and image permanence and in image fastness in terms of image gloss, ozone resistance and the like and has an improved ink-jetting performance and a inkjet recording method using the inkjet composition. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition contains a dispersion of colored fine particles containing at least an oil-soluble dye, a hydrophobic polymer and a high boiling organic solvent.
