<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid toner jet ink capable of flying, even when a low voltage is applied, having stabilized flying properties, and capable of forming a high-quality picture image with a high picture quality density, and to provide a recording method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid toner jet ink consists mainly of electrically charged particles which contain at least a dispersion medium and a coloring material, wherein particle distribution in the liquid toner jet ink satisfies inequalities (A) and (B) at the same time: (A) 2.5×10<SP>3</SP>≤R<SB>10</SB>×R<SB>90</SB>≤8.5×10<SP>7</SP>[R<SB>10</SB>is a particle diameter (nm) corresponding to 10% cumulative distribution counted from a small particle diameter side; and R<SB>90</SB>is a particle diameter (nm) corresponding to 90% cumulative distribution counted from the small side]; and (B) 4.8×10<SP>-2</SP>≤R<SB>10</SB>/R<SB>50</SB>+R<SB>50</SB>/R<SB>90</SB>[R<SB>50</SB>is a particle diameter (nm) corresponding to 50% cumulative distribution counted from the small side]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
